Most Margaret River tours from Perth are shared group coach tours, you book a seat, join other travellers, and follow a fixed itinerary and schedule for the whole day. Swan Chauffeur gives you a private vehicle for your own group only, with an itinerary built around what you want to see. You also get the same chauffeur and vehicle for your Perth pickup and the whole day, rather than arranging a separate transfer to a coach departure point.

Yes, Busselton Jetty is included as a stop on the way to or from Margaret River. It is the longest timber-piled jetty in the Southern Hemisphere. If you would like extra time there, including the jetty train ride or a visit to the underwater observatory, let us know when booking and we will build in the additional time. The train ride and observatory entry are booked and paid on the day, they are not included in the base tour price.

Typically 3 to 4 cellar doors, given Margaret River is a 3 hour drive from Perth each way and the wineries themselves are spread across a fairly large area. We plan the itinerary with you in advance so the day feels relaxed rather than rushed, including time for a proper lunch. If you would prefer fewer stops and more time at each one, or a specific winery you already know you want to visit, just tell us when you book.

Yes. Because your chauffeur and vehicle are with you for the entire day, we can start directly from Perth Airport if you are arriving that morning, or route the return trip to drop you at the airport for a late flight. There is no separate airport transfer to arrange, it is the same booking.

Book at least 1 to 2 weeks ahead, and earlier for weekends, school holidays and the busy months from December to April. Because the tour takes a chauffeur and vehicle for the whole day, a date is only held once it is booked. If your date is sooner, call us and we will tell you straight away what is still available.

Because a full day tour is planned and held well ahead, it has its own terms rather than the shorter notice periods used for transfers. Cancel more than 7 days before the tour for a full refund. Between 72 hours and 7 days before, 50 per cent is refunded. Inside 72 hours the tour is not refundable. You can move your tour to another date at no charge with at least 72 hours notice, subject to availability. Cancellations and date changes need to be sent in writing by email or confirmed by phone. This does not limit your rights under the Australian Consumer Law.

There is no separate deposit. Once the office has confirmed your date, vehicle and itinerary, we send a secure payment link and the package price is paid in full by card. The Busselton Jetty train and underwater observatory are not part of the package and are paid on the day.

Most Margaret River day tours run 11 to 12 hours door to door, accounting for the 3 hour drive each way and time in the region. A typical departure is 7 to 8am from Perth, returning between 6 and 7pm. If you would prefer a more relaxed pace, we also offer an overnight extension so the return drive happens the following day, contact us for pricing.
